The Nomex Flight Suit is an industry-standard in aviation flight suits.

The Nomex Flight Suit is the US Military’s choice material for its pilots. Nomex fabric is the industry-leading fabric for flame resistant and protective flight suits. Nomex is a flame-resistant fiber made by DuPont. This durable material is not only protective but long-lasting. Nomex fibers have built-in flame protection. This means you don’t have to worry about washing or wearing out the flame resistance. Nomex is also resistant to shrinking in the wash, ensuring a good fit throughout the lifetime of the garment.
Nomex material is what is called inherently flame-resistant. This means that the fibers themselves are flame-resistant. Instead of needing a chemical agent to provide fire protection, the fabric itself resists flames. This means that it is permanent and not dependent on chemical additives which can have some negative side effects and potentially “wash out”.

Nomex Can be a Life Saver

Nomex material will protect the wearer from the heat and flame of a flash fire. This gives the pilot precious seconds to escape while minimizing the risk of burn injury. If you are 5′ 7″ – 5′ 11″, order a regular.
Example: a 5’11” 175 pound male is a 42 regular.
